Swett out, Troxel in?

Postby HookedOnGriz » Wed Jan 11, 2017 4:53 pm

Sample just reported. Any ideas as to why Swett moving on? Heard he was kind of an ass, but Stitt did bring him in. Troxel could be nice addition IMO

They have been working on getting Troxel since the season was over.

I know nothing about Troxel, but I liked Nolan. Looks like Nolan didn't kiss HavaTampa's ass, so he is now going to dis him as Nolan leaves. Classy move for a "Griz insider".

The Griz have now got some serious work to do in the Phoenix area because Nolan had the relationships with high school coaches here.

Troxel is a good kid. Dad obviously was a coaching legend both in Montana and Idaho, and Matt didn't fall far from the tree when it came to coaching chops. There are reasons why he very quickly became the OC at ISU, and is highly respected in the coaches office and in the locker room.

If he does make the move out of Pocatello, this is a good get for the UM. Purely speculation at this point.

Unfortunate that Coach Swett didn't work out, and I wish him the best.

It seems funny that Swett coached several years for Stitt at Mines, but suddenly has because too hard on the kids here at Montana.

How many times are people going to tell you, Swett didn't "leave"

And I didn't diss him whatsover.
